About the Role
Retail Assistant play important role in making sure customer have good shopping experience. You help customer find product, answer question, support sales, keep store looking good, and help with daily store operations.
To work in retail you need good communication skill, professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work well with customer and colleague. You may also need to work weekend, public holiday, and busy shopping period, depend on store need.
This opportunity is good for first-time job seeker, unemployed youth, school leaver, and anyone who want to build experience in customer service and retail.
What You May Do
Exact duty depend on store need, but successful candidate may be expected to:
- Welcome and help customer in friendly and professional way
- Help customer find the right product
- Give information about product, price, promotion, and available stock
- Support sales and help store meet customer service target
- Keep shelf, display, and product area neat and organised
- Help unpack, sort, and restock product
- Check that product is displayed correct
- Keep store clean and maintain good housekeeping standard
- Help colleague with daily store activity
- Follow company policy and store procedure
- Handle customer query and solve problem in professional way
- Help maintain positive and welcoming shopping environment
