Armed Guard Officer — Grade C
This position is for experienced security officer who can protect people, company asset, infrastructure, and visitor through visible security operation and effective response to threat.
Role involve doing security patrol, controlling access to premises, watching suspicious activity, responding to emergency, and following company security procedure. Candidate must be comfortable working in demanding environment like mining and industrial operation where strict security is essential.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12), OR
- Grade 10 or Grade 11 with minimum five year relevant experience
Must also have:
- Valid PSIRA Grade C Certificate
- Minimum two year security industry experience
- Previous experience as Armed Guard or Armed Response Officer
- Experience working in mining or industrial environment
- Firearm Competency Certificate covering all three firearm category, including business purpose
- Medical fitness certificate
- SAPS fingerprint clearance — no criminal record
- Valid Code 8 (B) driver’s licence or higher, depend on operational need
- Must stay in Secunda

Reaction Officer — Grade B
This position is for experienced security professional with strong knowledge of emergency response, armed response operation, patrol duty, and mine security.
Successful candidate will respond fast to alarm and emergency call-out, while making sure security procedure get implemented effective. Position also include supervising security personnel and helping maintain efficient security system in mining environment.
Role need excellent judgement, quick decision-making, and ability to react well under high pressure.

- Minimum two to three year security industry experience
- At least two year experience as Reaction Officer or Armed Response Officer
- Experience with patrol operation, alarm response, and emergency response
- Firearm Competency Certificate for handgun, shotgun, and rifle
- Firearm Competency for Business Purpose — handgun, shotgun, and rifle
- Valid firearm permit from appropriate authority or employer
- Valid Armed Response Certificate — not older than five year
- SAPS fingerprint clearance — no criminal record
- Medical fitness certificate
- Must stay in Secunda

Duties and Responsibilities
- Do visible patrol
- Respond to emergency call-out
- Protect company asset
- Prevent theft, fraud, wilful damage, and misuse of company property
- Supervise security personnel and support security team
- Develop information network and collect security intelligence
- Evaluate and coordinate security information from internal and external source
- Help with crime prevention and report criminal and mine-related incident
- Investigate criminal activity and secure crime scene
- Report investigation finding to Shift Supervisor
- Monitor security measure across client site and report finding
- Conduct shift parade before duty start
- Inspect security vehicle before use and ensure it is ready for operation
- Arrest offender where legally allowed
- Investigate suspicious activity and report confirmed problem immediately to Security Control Room
- Support emergency operation and maintain compliance with security procedure
