About the Bursary
Nedbank invite student to apply for their External Bursary Programme for 2027 academic year. Nedbank will give bursary to student who perform well academically but don’t have money to study.
Fields of Study
Bursary available for first Undergraduate or Honours degree/diploma in:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)
- Green Economy skills
NB: Green Economy skills is areas of study that focus on improving social well-being and social equity, while also reducing environmental risk and ecological damage — this include cutting carbon emission and pollution, protecting natural resource, and making better use of energy and materials.
Who Can Apply
Make sure you meet all this before you apply:
- Must be South African citizen
- Must be in Matric now, or already finish Matric
- Must be studying or planning to study for first undergraduate or Honours degree or diploma in 2027, in STEM or Green Economy field
- Must be studying full-time, or already accepted to study full-time, at recognised and accredited public university or university of technology in South Africa
- Must have strong academic record
- Must have pass Mathematics in Matric — Mathematics Literacy not accepted
- Must have minimum overall average of 65% for 2026 academic year, whether at Matric or university level
- Must have minimum overall average of 65% for all subject that relate to your university qualification
- Must show proven financial need, based on household income
- If you under 18 years old, must have consent from parent or legal guardian to apply
