Learnership Overview
FNB’s Learnership programme places candidates in real working roles while they work toward a formal qualification. This isn’t a classroom setup. Learners take on actual tasks tied to business needs, including data gathering, admin support, process assistance, and project work. The work contributes to department outcomes while the qualification gets completed alongside it.
Responsibilities
- Flag rising costs early. If something looks off, escalate it before it becomes a bigger problem. Quiet concerns have a way of becoming loud ones.
- Be conscious of how your daily decisions affect spending. Small habits add up, and resources aren’t unlimited.
- Follow established financial routines and procedures. Consistency is how compliance stays intact.
- Apply TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles in every customer interaction, not just the ones that feel significant. Values show up in small moments, not mission statements.
- Own customer problems directly. Communicate through agreed channels, handle complaints without deflecting, and keep communication consistent even when things get difficult.
- Collect customer feedback to support service improvement.
- Make sure all product knowledge and advice given is accurate.
- Look for ways to refine workflows and improve efficiency over time.
- Keep compliance checks consistent so nothing falls through the gaps.
- Maintain accurate activity records and follow company policy.
- Explore ways to optimise processes and identify where small changes could reduce delays or wasted steps.
- Share improvement ideas with team leads when you spot them.
- Live the “I get better and better” value in practice, not just on paper.
- Contribute to team goals through genuine collaboration. Show up fully for shared work.
- Respect what colleagues bring to the table. Different backgrounds and perspectives strengthen the team.
- Share knowledge with others so the team grows together.
- Treat everyone equally regardless of background.
- Identify your own development gaps, build a personal growth plan, and review it with your supervisor regularly.
- Stay open to feedback and commit to steady improvement. Growth rarely announces itself; it shows up in daily choices.
